Jochen Arbeit is closely linked to the history of Teutonic experimental rock music over recent decades. Guitar player with Einstürzende Neubauten and former member of another mythical band on the 1980s Berlin scene, Die Haut, Arbeit also boasts a solo career which is full of rich ingredients and striking attitudes. Pieces for dance, film and theatre, work with artistic activists such as AADK (Abraham Hurtado/Vania Rovisco), Supercosy Klangwerkstatt (Yuko Matsuyama, Kotomi Nishiwaki), Soundscapes (Live Improvisation Concert Series) and Aufladetechnische Konferenz (Paul Lemp, Mark Boombastik, Brian Mitchell). His hyperactive production is driven by a punk and dada spirit, with forays into electronica and the elegant finish of a meticulous tailor.

Dirk Dresselhaus (a.k.a. Schneider TM) wurde 1970 in Bielefeld geboren und ist seit den späten 80er Jahren in verschiedenen musikalischen Bereichen aktiv. Von 1989 bis 1997 spielte und sang er in Indie-/Noiserock- und Pop-Bands wie Locust Fudge und Hip Young Things woraufhin er sich ab 1997 mehr mit elektronischer Musik beschäftigte und das Projekt Schneider TM startete, mit dem er sich für einige experimentelle Elektro-Freakpop Alben und Indie-Hits wie ‚Reality Check’ oder eine The Smiths-Coverversion mit dem Titel ‚The Light 3000’ (mit Kptmichigan) verantwortlich zeigte. Neben anderen Arbeiten wie Komposition und Produktion von Musik für Filme (1. Mai, 66/67, Polnische Ostern etc.), Theater (The Scorpionfish, Luis & Bebe mit Joanna Dudly) und Hörspiele (Release, Hochhaus mit Paul Plamper), spielt er seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig in Noise-Improv-Bands/Projekten wie Angel (zusammen mit Ilpo Väisänen von Pan sonic), Mr. Schmuck’s Farm (mit der isländischen Cellistin Hildur Gudnadottir von Lost In Hildurness / Mum etc.) und Real Time, einem eher an Neuer Musik orientiertes Duo zusammen mit Reinhold Friedl von Zeitkratzer. Desweiteren spielt er seit einiger Zeit regelmäßig Improvisations-Konzerte auf wechselndem Equipment wie Gitarre, Elektronik, Balaphon oder mit Fieldrecordings.Dank der brillianten ökonomischen Situation in der Musikindustrie, gründete Dirk Dresselhaus zusammen mit Michael Beckett 2007 das Label MirrorWorldMusic.

The duo Mueran Humanos is one of the most wild acts in Berlin underground.An electronic band in the vein of Suicide,Coil and Silver Apples,but with an unique personality. Experimental but pop, or the other way around.After a couple of singles and gigs all over Europe and South America,they released their debut album this year, supported by an American tour,through Old Europa Cafe and Blind Prophet Records, to critical aclaim.

Kulku

Acoustic-Experimental-Drone-Psychedelic-From-Chill-To-Rage

Kulku was founded in 2002 by the Artists Wenzlovar and Johanna Riska and has since played in various constellations with other musicians in the underground music scene of Berlin.The band is using mainly Wenzlovar´s collection of acoustic instruments*to produce a surreal home of sounds accompanied by odd stories about dogs as spiritual advisers or regular life after death.Kulku plays minimalistic music that relates to primitive music,because many of the instruments can produce only one single tone.The musicians are (voluntarily) restricted to a limited sound but rising a complete universe out of it.

Dance Performance:

Elle Erdman choreographs a duet using strings of lights that are

meticulously placed over the contours of the dancers bodies. The space then becomes decorated creating a physical experience and enlivening the architecture of the stage. The performers will dance to the live music going in and out of stillness and choreographed dance sequences. Using the sound score, architecture of the stage and each other, a structure improvisation unfolds.
